I still miss Teena Marie...
by serenitynow! init was 1 year ago today that she died, way too soon.
she was a great singer and songwriter and i was lucky enough to see her in concert twice.
unlike these no talent hacks out nowadays, she really could sing, write, and play instruments.

I give up. Miz, you may think the forehead comment was cute in some way but to me it's just another clue as to why you don't have a woman. I think you're looking for perfection but when you find it (if you ever do) how sure are you she's gonna want you?
Woman you're off topic. This thread ain't about me and my haterish ways, it's about Teena Marie, RIP. You can't deny her forehead was serious business though. The space between her hairline and eyebrows was more spaced out than a zone defense.

I hated that flick too, but it is a fitting representation of the Watchtower. Somebody on here did a thread on the most recent animated version of the girl with the long hair trapped in the tower being analogous of the Watchtower. I can't recall the name of that film, but the heroines growth and curiosity about the world about was supposed to be similar to that of a born-in JW.

I wasn't a big fan of her, but she did have some pipes on her, although at times it was kinda difficult to differentiate between her singing and screaming. She was cute back in the day. Her forehead was serious as she got older though.

I saw a photo of the reconstructive surgery results on the Islamic woman who's nose had been cut off, beautiful young woman. Hope she can find a new life away from her upbringing.
It's crazy how they view women over there. The weirdest thing about them over there to me is, how do they view their own mothers? You would think eventually someone would see the correlation between the treatment of some random woman, with the treatment of their own mothers.

I've been crunching the numbers, and the concept of Santa Claus doesn't add up
by keyser soze inmaybe i'm overly skeptical after years of having been lied to by the wt....but from a purely logistical standpoint, the idea that he could cover the amount of territory necessary in the amount of time allotted, just doesn't seem feasible.. now, granted, there are certain variables in the equation that are highly speculative, such as the speed he would be travelling at.
it's quite possible that reindeer travel faster through the air than by land, maybe quite faster.
but even if we assume he is travelling the speed of a lear jet, and you factor in all the differen't time zones, i still don't see how he has enough time to complete his task.. am i missing something, or is the story totally bogus?.

I had a similar thought to this thread last night. I watched Alien vs Predator Requiem which has to be hands down one of the worst Sci-fi/horror films I've ever had the displeasure of watching. It was truly awful, but what bothered the me the most about it was the fact that, Hollywood has allowed lame azz directors and producers to ruin great creatures such as the Xenomorph(Alien), and the Predator. The horror that many people felt the first time they saw the creature from Alien, simply isn't present any more. It's no longer scary because it's been overdone by nitwits and bums who were lucky enough to have parents that paid for their film school.
While we're at it, vampires and werewolves, used to be frightening. I'm talking about The Howling, or Wolfen, or Bram Stoker's Dracula. Those films were truly creepy!! Nowadays vampires and werewolves look like 90210 extras that you hope make the mistake of taking the wrong exit in California and end up on Crenshaw and Slawson on a Friday night during the summer. I mean how did this happen, when did vampires, werewolves, and other ghouls become so, just pussy for lack of a better word? It's sad. I miss that feeling of horrow when I watched The Howling. Did any of you see the most recent Wolfman? Just plain terrible. He looked like a Buffalo!!!! After seeing it at the show, I was dying for a half slab of ribs and a some mild Buffalo wings light on the sauce.
